What Kind of iPod do I Need for Acura Music Link?

First of all, remember that all 2007 Acuras have MP3 ports so you can play any MP3 player through your Acura audio system. 

In addition, Acura offers Acura Music Link. Acura Music Link works exclusively with applicable Apple iPod players, allowing you to control your iPod using the vehicle's audio controls; it is not compatible with other MP3 players.

Currently, the compatible iPods released to date are the 1st & 2nd generation iPod nano, 5th generation iPod with video, 4th-generation iPods, and the iPod mini. The Music Link does not work with iPod shuffle or 3rd-generation and earlier iPods, since they do not support the correct communication protocol.
