Replacing Tires on Your Acura

When replacing tires, people are sometimes tempted to change to a different size or construction...for a sportier look or whatever.  Acura recommends replacing tires with radial tires of the same size, load range, speed rating, and maximum cold tire pressure as shown on the original tires' sidewalls.

Using tires of a different size or construction can cause the Antilock Braking System (ABS) and Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) to work inconsistently.  Significant changes in the tire's diameter can alter the readings of the sensors these systems use.  So, before you buy tires of a different size or construction, talk with your Acura Dealer.
