What is Bluetooth®?
Bluetooth is the name of a wireless technology standard which allows different types of electronic devices to interact via short-range radio waves. Because of the versatility of Bluetooth wireless technology, enabled devices do not share all of the same profiles. The HandsFreeLinkTM system is compatible with Bluetooth-enabled phones that have a hands-free profile. The standard allows a wide range of devices to communicate with each other, with minimal user effort.
How do I get HandsFreeLink?
HandsFreeLink is standard on the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Acura TL models, the 2005 and 2006 RL, and any 2005 and 2006 MDX equipped with the Touring Package, the 2006 TSX as well as the 2007 RDX.
How do I answer a call using HandsFreeLink?
TO ANSWER A PHONE CALL:
After pairing is complete, your phone need only be in the vehicle and turned on. You can now answer calls without touching the phone.
Press and release the "Talk" button on the steering wheel. The audio system automatically switches to hands-free mode. Begin talking.
Press the "Back" button on the steering wheel when you are finished with your call.

How do I make a call using HandsFreeLink?
After pairing is complete, your phone need only be in the vehicle and turned on. You can now make calls without touching the phone.
Press and release the "Talk" button on the steering wheel. The audio system automatically switches to hands-free mode.
Say "call." The vehicle will ask what name or number you would like to call.
Press and release the "Talk" button on the steering wheel and say the number you would like to call. The vehicle will confirm the number and say, "Say CALL, DIAL, or CONTINUE to add numbers."
Press and release the "Talk" button and say "call." Your phone will then call the number.
After your conversation, press the "Back" button. The audio system automatically returns to its prior mode.
My battery seems to drain more quickly when I use my Bluetooth.
Battery performance depends on many factors, including the features and/or settings you select and use, including Bluetooth. Utilizing the Bluetooth feature in some phones may result in draining the battery; therefore, if you are not using the Bluetooth feature, turn it off to preserve battery strength.

5. ADVANCED FAQ:
Can I switch between multiple paired phones in the vehicle? Yes. If both phones are already paired, just press the TALK button and say, "Next Phone." The system will searh for another paired phone.
What if we have two or more phones in the car at the same time, or if two or more of us approach the vehicle at the same time, what will happen?
What if I'm in my car but want to take the call on my phone instead of using the car speakers? Press the TALK button and say, "Transfer." To transfer a call from your phone to the HFL, do the same.
What if I make a call and get a menu driven phone system? See Tutorial #2 above.
My phone has call waiting. How does that work in my car?
If your phone has Call Waiting, and you receive a call when you are on the phone, press and release the Talk buton to answer it. When you do this, the original call is placed on hold. To return to the original call, press the Talk button again. If you don't want to answer the new call, disregard it, and continue with your original call. If you want to hang up the original call and answer the new call, press the Back button.
Can I mute my voice during a call? Yes, Press the TALK button and, after the beep, say, "Mute." To unmute, do the same: say 'Mute,' and the HFL response is, "Mute is canceled.
Can I clear the HFL of my passcode, paired phones, and phonebook?

Yes. Press and release the Talk button and, after the beep, say "System." The HFL response is , "System options are setup and clear." Press and release the Talk button. After the beep, say, "Clear," and follow the rest of the questions and answers which will all be easy to understand.
