Yesterday was a particularly satisfying day. J flew down from Wyoming to pick up his new TL Type S. I spoke at length with X who had her car in for service. We have shared many thoughts and feelings over the years...Surely, her life challenges have been many. I told her about Japanese daruma dolls.
Japanese Daruma Doll
The daruma dolls are heavy on the bottom and bounce back when tipped over, so it has become a symbol of optimism, good fortune and strong determination.
I also spent about an hour with B, an elderly client who needed assistance learning the ins and outs of her new car.
Y also stopped in. She purchased her first car from me in 1996. She, too, has been through some very difficult times.
R stopped in. He and his wife had purchased a vehicle from me three years ago...perhaps it is time for a new one.
All in all, a very warm and satisfying day.
Hmmmm . . . it all started out like just an ordinary Friday . . . a little
chit chat catching up about change,
adjusting to change and so it goes.
Then I was introduced to my new found
identity . . . yes, a Daruma Doll ...
ahhhh . . . life . . . life is good . . . born to be daruma dolls.
Thanks for listening, caring and sharing.
It was a very special Friday. kk
K: Thanks for your note, I appreciate it. I must admit: I do not always
bounce back as easily as a Daruma Doll. I wish you all the best in the
coming year...Yes, 2006 is about over! Happy Holidays! RV
