2009 Acura TL (TECH) Keyless Access System

The Keyless Access Sytem is available on all 2009 models of the TL that have a Technology Package.  When you carry the keyless access remote, you can lock and unlock the doors, unlock the trunk, and start the engine without using the built-in key.

The keyless access remote slot is located on the dashboard, to the left of the engine start/stop button.  Use the slot to store the keyless access remote when you're inside the vehicle.

To remove it, simply turn off the vehicle and pull the remote firmly from the slot.

There is a keyless access system mode switch inside the glove box (see below).  Turn the switch off to disable the keyless access system.  You will not be able to automatically unlock the doors or trunk, and you will not be able to start the engine without inserting the keyless remote into the keyless remote slot.

There is also a trunk main switch in the glove box.  When you turn it off, the valet can only lock and unlock the doors and start the car.  The glove box, trunk, and trunk pass-through will remain locked.
